Ultimate Wiring

I have finally decided to purchase Emanage Ultimate and was wondering what wiring harness to purchase. Do I need the complete harness and the plug and play harness, or does the plug and play harness for the RX-8 do it all. I have searched through posts and only found ones dated from 05 and 06 so was curious how things have changed and if there is still wire splicing involved... thanks for the help guys

if you buy the EMU upgrade kit, you'll get the EMU along with the harness for plug and play on the RX-8. I think it ran about $600 new for everything.

But, the $200.00 kit is all i should need? just confirming .. i do not want to buy wiring i do nto need and/or have to wait for a second order of wiring that i had not purchased. thanks for puttin up with my lame questions

if you can cancel your emu purchase, it's cheaper to get both in one set.

they used to sell the turbo kit with blue, and then they changed to emu and put out an upgrade kit for $600.

people also sell the upgrade kit used for the $400 range with harness

found a new upgrade kit for 650.00 ... sounds like this could be the way to go. but in the information about it, is says: "This upgrade kit will only work if you have GReddy Mazda RX-8 turbo kit #11540050." Does it matter that my car is N/A? will the wiring and everything still be correct? Is there still any splicing of wires?

Why are you installing it NA? It won't work much better than the Blue...or Canzoomer mod did.......Unless you set it up to run the injectors and timing standalone it will still have the fuel trim problems the others had.............

Read over the thread that GTAW posted and it sounds like people are having problems when the use the upgrade on NA applications. So i think i a will jsut purchase the ultimate and a plug and play harness... this brigns me back to my original question ... if i buy only the plug and play harness is that all i need as far as wiring goes?

People are not having problems using the Upgrade Kit on NA applications but you need to rewire it. The Upgrade Kit harness is the only way you will be able to force open loop and avoid the LTFT/STFT issues that dannobre mentioned. All the wiring changes are discussed in the thread GTAW suggested. As far as I know, there is no "Plug-N-Play" harness for NA.

that was pretty much the answer i was lookin for ... also the "Plug and Play" kit i was refering to is on the greddy website. It lists nothing about needing the turbo kit installed in order for it to work .. are they just assuming that if you buy the EMU that you are using it with thier turbo kit?....

Yes, 15941500 and 15941501 are designed for their turbo kit. In order to make it work for NA you will need to get 15901500 or 15901503 and rewire the PNP harness. I have 15901503 because I have my EMU in my glovebox.
