has anyone got their ap to install with ubuntu i keep getting an errorsaying winusb isnt present

 

is the accessport software designed for linux? winusb is the driver used by later generations of windows to communicate with the USB bus.

 

Huh? How are you even using it, Wine?

I suspect you'll need VirtualBox and a copy of Windows.

There is an OS X version of AccessPort Manager which uses libusb, but I don't think you can even run that natively.

 

No linux love from AP, dude.

 

i have to figure somthing out i need to retune for my new injectors....

 

dual boot a windoze on your pc if you can't run it with Wine, crossover, parallels, virtual box, or using rdesktop.

 

use wine you should be able to get it to work

 

I try running it thru wine and get the error tht winusb or libusb are not present so I can't finish install

 

There are wine packages that include those .DLL s

also check here http://wiki.winehq.org/USB and try contacting Alexander Morozov, He is doing the main effort to support simple USB drivers in wine. It would probably be really easy for him to script a native linux driver for the AP

 

got it to work using oracle vm vitrtualbox..... took some tweaking but i have access tuner race and ap manager 2.0 working
