So, you want to be a tuner? Look no further.

Mmm, nice find. Might explain why my s2 likes to be in closed loop so much. Not too bothered as I am NA, but still useful.
Looking back at my logs, it seems my car switches to OL once load goes over 100:

Couldn't find any that looked like yours in Mazdaedit but I have tuned a couple with the AP that have done exactly the same thing as yours so must be the same . I would change that map back to 80 or so as your N/A loads are higher than most and could be running a little lean before the switchover.

It isn't a problem on most 8's as they exit in the 80s (which happens as soon as you mash the throttle) . But I've seen a couple of cars that have been exactly like Bluedragons that exit at 100 (both series 1s) and it does cause some issues when tuning for FI.

I'd be interested to see yours Paimon. Mine is a 2010 CA car as well.
I did lower mine to go OL at 80-90 after my earlier post. I might lower it a bit more now I've seen the S2 graph from Brettus. I wonder why it would be set so differently on different cars?

Fyi s2 owners. One of the recent (been months since I flashed an update to my exu) updates to mazda edit added a Speed4 ON and OFF to the fan speed/ECT 2d map that is set to about 120F. Just incase you flash and wonder why your car is loud as hell and sounding like a vacuum when you turn it on after a flash lol.
From my last testing it seems that speed1 and speed2 control the low fan speed and speed3 is high fan speed. Speed4 seems to also be high fan speed.
Not sure why we don't have control of the med speed yet

Halo guys. Although i just registered i have been reading these forums for one year now and have read all the tuning threads.
I own a 2004 european rx8 231 hp.
The car in general is great (drivability, the rotary engine itself, interior exterior etc) but at oem state its not superfast in strates. I had it dynoed and oem it gave 231 hp in crank.
I also hapen to have a honda s2000 so i have tested the cars in strates against each other. When they were both oem the S2000 from rolling 70km/h to 240 km/h was 3-4 cars ahead.
But i went on and upgraded my rx8s exhaust with full 76mm collector headers and 76mm test pipe and 76mm tube to double exhaust tips. This upgrade alone gave the 8 almost 10 hp in the dyno and on the road now it goes toe to toe with my s2000 and also 1 other oem s2000 i tried against. So the car witn exhaust alone , gained 3-4 cars difference on the road.
So now i am in a mode where i want to give that little extra power to the 8 so it can be faster than an oem s2000. I love the rotary engine its so smooth and i realy want to know that my 8 goes faster than my s2000.
So my question is, if i make a good mazdaedit tune (either to a tuner or by myself as i am an experienced ecu tuner and i already have a wideband installed ) lean out the a/f ratio from 11.2 i get now to a more agressive 12.3-12.5 and also give a more agressive spark avance what can i get in terms of power?
What gains have you guys seen on the road after a good tune? When testing your car witn a friends car did you gain 1 car after tune? 2 cars? 4? Has anyone tested that?
I dont want to go FI i just want 10more hps on my 8 that translate in 3-4 cars gain on the road... Can i get these with a good tune?
