All:

I have a AEM (MS) CAI, hi flow cat, hi flow catback, and BHR Coils (which really don't matter to tuning, but I'm happy about them).

I have to take a long trip tomorrow to Ft. Knox (about 900 miles for me) and I want to take it nice and slow and have a good time and save some gas (for once).

I haven't had a chance to look at the map file from COBB yet to see if the trim levels and timing levels are good--I would if I had time but I need to pack. I just finished playing around with the Stage I file and gave it a hefty workover to fit my mods better (hopefully I got it right because I didn't get a chance to flash it in yet). I have to give props to myriadshalaks and kane because I used a lot of their work to start from. Anyway I'm rambling...

BLUF: will the Economy mode be safe to use with my mods without modifying parameters of the map? I kind of ran out of time today to check it out myself.

i have never used it, but i imagine it's safe. there's probably a rev limit in there to keep you from knocking -- i assume it's a lean fuel map tune with no timing changes. i don't even have it loaded on my comp, so i can't check it till tomorrow. if i get a chance before you leave, i'll post up some screen shots of the changes.

when do you leave?

the bhr coils have different dwell settings, btw. that might be your biggest hurdle. there's a thread on that too.

 

Yes, I'm aware of the coils and their--potential, shall we say. I spoke to Ray about the dwell awhile back.

I leave tomorrow about noonish. I inferred a rev limit from the notes. I appreciate the help! Back to packing!
