Question About CZ Maps and eManage Maps
Question About CZ Maps and eManage Maps
Hello All,
I just had my eManage blue installed on my N/A setup and have not been able to make any gains starting from the base maps. The changes we made were -5% to the AFR across the range from 6K-redline.
So I downloaded the CZ1.1 map and notice that the values were well into the 20-30% and was wondering if that was normal for the eManage? I know that the CZ maps work in opposite to the eManage's in terms of the values ... so a +10 means a -10 in the emanage right? Also the RPM map is 1/2 of the real values right? so 2200RPM = 4400RPM ??
Cheers,

You will need more than -5% in most areas. The problem with the e-manage or canzoomer is tuning in Closed loop areas that allow the ECU to learn around your adjustments. It will be obvious if your LTFT's start to climb as you adjust your A/F ratios.
Log the closed / open loop transition areas...and stay away from them and you will get some gains that will stay...and reset the ECU every so often

Thanks for the info Dannobre ... but the changes I made were over 6000RPM so I assuming thats open loop? I didn't reset the ECU, so that may have helped. But I'm just not sure how much of a % I should lean the map out.

^^ for sure...you need access to the WBO2 info to tune........I think he should do a bit more research on some of the tuning threads to answer these guestions.
Jeff...has anyone severed the P2's on a NA car and tried to tune it that way??

There would be little or no benefit - the P2s don't even start firing until nearly 7k.
Now, you could sever the secondaries and build a sub-injector MAP to control those instead.
That would mean a bit of re-wiring.

Secondaries....sorry. I have been wondering if that will work as well N/A as the severed P2 maps for the turbos?? It might be easier to tune without the stock ECU adding too much at a whim????
The way my tuner measured the AFR was by tapping just before the cat and using a gas anaylzer which I'm told is the most accurate way. So we knew and logged exactly what the AFR was for the whole run and it was exactly the same after pulling 5% on the eManage.
