Possible to control Cat temp sensor?
Possible to control Cat temp sensor?
Just wondering if anyone knew of any aux inputs to the e-manage that would let you adjust/fake the output from the cat temp sensor. I'm thinking even something as simple as above 6500rpm cat temp = 1650 deg F or a way to rescale the sensor so it would max out at 1650 deg F.
If you do some logging you will see after just a bit of hard driving the cat temps will increase drastically and the computer goes from pig rich to super-duper pig rich. There has to be a way around this i'm thinking.

you could probably use a simple zener regulator circuit to clamp the voltage at whatever temperature you want. you'd just need to know what the voltage is at 1650F. this is assuming the temperature sensor is an RTD.

Notice there is no sensor on the wiring diagram, nor any DTCs that talk about cat temp sensor input high or low.

Looks like the calculation is running primarily on the MAF and O2 sensor. The e-manage already is manipulating the MAF, but it looks like to control the cat temp you would also need to mess with the O2 sensor since the a/f ratio seems to be a bigger determining factor then airflow according to delphi.
