This is of course the CZ-MidP4 -- midpipe with resonator and 5" Random Tech high flow cat.

Any chance you could get a sound clip with the CZ4 pkg + borla? I'm interested to see what it'll sound like.

Mine should be here tomorrow. :D

Couple of questions though, since yours got to you before mine did...

Did it come with the bolts to mount the cat to the midpipe/resonator section? I would assume you could reuse the bolts from the existing cat section on either end, but this is a separate set of bolts. Oh, and did he provide the cat-replacement straight through pipe too, or do you have to buy that separately? Thanks...

Wow, I was the prototype for this exhaust midpipe, and even I just saw the final version for the first time. I am glad that the 5" cat is being used, as well as a resonator. Otherwise the setup was very loud. And hopefully the 5" cat won't burn up like the 4" one did on my car. I did run a 5" cat for awhile though, and it seemed to work beautifully and checked out well. That 4" just didn't seem to like the rotary heat. Hope that resonator makes a difference!

Everything in the box is in the pic -- hope I don't need anything else.

Yes it comes with the bolts (2 mounting kits actually). Didn't come with the cat delete pipe -- must have to get that separately.

Omi/RX- Does the CZ 1.1 need to be reprogrammed with this mod?

No - the new Stage 1 was already designed to work with the midpipe/cat. It does however allow you to go to the Stage 2 tune if you desire.

OK - got it installed today.

Observations:

Definitely a little louder - seems a little more than the 3db that CZ indicated

My package was short 3 bolts and nuts and the installer had to cut down the spacers for the spring bolts because they were too long. The new midpipe doesn't have the flange that extends into the back pipe so the gasket doesn't seat as tightly -- my installer thinks there is a small leak and wants me to check it out with CZ -- or he will weld in piece to make it like the stock midpipe. Also the gasket that was provided wasn't as thick as the stock gasket so my installer had to scrap the new one and reuse the stock gasket.

I plan on calling CZ on Monday and discussing.

My installer did say that it is very high quality materials.

If you have any type of leak other than a microscopic sized one, it is going to be louder than it needs to be.

Keep us informed.

BTW, does it feel any faster?

Went to the track today see write-up here the 8 felt great with the CZ midpipe and cat. Did feel a little more power and and top end felt less restricted -- spent a lot of time above 7k rpms and the engine felt like it wanted to rev more than it did with the stock cat/midpipe.

Does anybody know if the CZ midpipe/resonator/high flow cat passes emissions tests?

Thanks.
