I'm not exactly a big fan of using maps done by pimply guys in their basement..., since I don't know what the hell was done. At least not until I get my hands on the AP and understand it better.

However, IIRC, my car has been due for an update for a long time now. Where can I get OEM flashes? Cobb's website has a rather limited selection..., TBH.

if you have a 05 you are still under warranty. if not the flashes tend to be recalls.. to avoid the stock flashes is counter productive.

I think I would have more confidence in a flash uploaded by a rotary enthusiast or pro tuning company like racing beat vs the dealer who in many cases doesn't know or doesn't care what's going on with your vehicle

Mazda has designed their flashes to be safe and idiot free along with the equipment they supply their dealer network. With an AP or any others update, you have to take a leap of faith and trust that whom ever knows what they are doing.

 

I don't think you have to worry about the "pimply guy in his basement" ever selling you a map now.
