I took My car up to vip performance and they are currently in the processes of trying to tune it but are unable to do to the fact they can’t connect with the interceptor X. I sent them the only software I could find online for the interceptor X this software (http://microtechefi.com/software/setup.zip) I herd it was the right program but I don’t know. Please help I really don’t want to buy a new ecu any and all software, advice and general help would be much appreciated. These are a couple of pictures taken by vip on how they have it hooked up. AGAIN PLEASE HELP.

Whats the actual issue? They have it hooked up and try to connect but it wont? Could be a number of issues from faulty dongle or ecu to the fact they haven't got a well configured COM port. I know a lot of people have had issues with USB to Serial adapters.

 

people still use INT-X...just because they don't have a good tuner, that's why tehy use COBB, so they can use MM as the tuner....people who have a tuner, like me, use INT-X, it's still good. i started with INT-x, may be i will use COBB for my emmision...

btw, if they can't connect to ECu. check teh COMM from your computer. make sure the USB connection is using the right COMM connection in your computer because it's from serial connection to USB, and if you don't have Serial connection in your computer, and you use USB, you have to assign USB as A COMM in your connection.
i hope i do make sense. it happens to me too, until i managed to change the COMM connection in my computer for serial connection

Thank you everyone. They finaly got it working. i dont know why but they thought there wasnt a dongle and they wernt using it at first but now everythings working out. Again thank you everyone.
