Wow, all you guys donating money are dumbasses. It's not like anyone put a gun to his head and forced him to charge the prices that he is, if he felt that he could charge double and the market would bear it he would.

Since a mod has already stepped forward and said that they are going to donate, I will start a countdown timer on this post.

Hell, count me in for 20. He's been the man on these here streets when it comes to knowing what's what about turbocharging the 8. I'm looking forward to getting the turbo upgrade for my greddy kit. Hope I can get the cash up to do it soon. As much as he's contributed here, I'd say that 20 bucks ain't much to give up.

I'm off to China soon (Nov 2) to see my wife for 21 days, so somebody let me know the logistics. I'll try to check in on the site while I'm there. It sure would be nice if immigration would let her come on over the pond, because every trip there is an Accessport and MM turbo upgrade that could be on my car!

Wow! I'm excited to see the support for Jeff in this thread. I can't speak for him but I do want to say thank you to everyone who realizes the important service that Jeff has brought to this community.

Honestly the poor guy needs a secretary!

Those of us who are good friends with Jeff have been sticking our nose into the COBB tuning and I've been working with the race tuner software myself. Still, any skills I might have are certainly not refined enough to risk the motors in customer cars.

Jeff has a massive attention to detail and his experience is based on years of tuning his own car and the cars of others. There's no easy duplication of that experience. I've just now gotten to the point where I can make suggestions for my own tune and he will push the buttons and turn the dials to make it happen.

Could Jeff charge more for tuning? Sure! I've ragged on him several times to try and charge more for it. He enjoys what he does AND his interest is in helping the community enjoy the rotary more. I'm sure he would be thrilled to see the support here.

I've known Jeff for quite a while and he has been there for me every time I have needed him. He has made so many trips from Phoenix to Vegas that his car can do the trip on autopilot (jk) Will he take a little money in appreciation? I believe he would. I think that his usual business has suffered greatly due to the AP. I know what he envisioned would happen from this endeavor and I think it turned into more than any of us thought.

I think that Jedi had a point, if you are thinking by donating to this fund will gain more input from Jeff, then don't donate.

Put me in for $20.00

gee... i wonder if Jeff would really like $300 or for everyone in his 100-200 tune backlog to at least use some kind of form that lets him have what he needs in a decent format so he doesn't waste tons of his time on people who can't pay attention to instructions...

This would be too easy to do. All I would need is all of Jeff's raw data from his customers. I am not sure how or what format he is saving everything, but I could create a form and many other useful tools that would make his life so much easier. I will send him an email however I doubt he will get back to me.

Maybe I will pretend like I need a calibration....

I think that's the greatest part of this idea; it's up to Jeff how he wants to spend it! If he uses the funds to get someone to create a master database or uses the funds to have Twinkie build a web based system, either way I think it helps Jeff out. (which is the point)

email sent... lets see if he bites.

Edit: Also it will cost me and Jeff nothing to create an Access Database. I do this for fun, daily!

Why can't he have both - why do you want to limit this thread to "lets everyone just create an app to get Jeff data" - that only takes 1 person to make it. As for the rest of us who choose to donate, that is our choice. I'm not understanding why people think he can't receive a donation AND help from someone by writing that web app / anything else. I feel like I'm wasting my time trying to explain this, either you want to donate or you don't - can it be any simpler?

A truly "given" donation is a great thing, there's nothing in it for us and this isn't geared 100% towards any given service or product, it's as a whole we are showing our thanks to Jeff for what he's done and has been doing here. Not trying to get religious by any means, but if you have ever been to church you know you give to help then church operate & expand and share knowledge, you don't give so God will bless you with more things!
