Microtech- Interceptor info needed

Hey guys,
I'm doing a bit of quick learning here about what I have before I go to post it for sale. In my RX8 rally car sits a Pettit built and assembled supercharged motor with the Interceptor piggyback ecu.

Do you need a piggyback ecu to run the Pettit supercharged motor? I'm assuming you need something to help the stock ECU understand what it's talking to. Is the interceptor the preferred one?
I have the dongle to interface to it as well. Actually I"m not sure who told me Microtech, I think that was the old company name or something. Mine says Mazsport on it.

I was thinking to sell the motor and ecu together but am considering if it makes sense to split them up.

Thanks for the help, even though I raced this car I didn't build it and am trying to learn the ropes.
Matthew

The general consensus will be to get a COBB AccessPort or MazdaEdit, and just tune via flash on the ECU itself. The piggyback is pretty bad, and will cause too many problems to be worth it.
