hey want to know if there is anyone using the stand alone megasquirt on their rx8? ive found a post abt it on rx8web but that was dated back like 2 years ago and havnt found anything about it recently. just want to know if it even works with our cars? and if the ignition controls codes have been released for our spark plug controls

 

you can probably find whatever you need to know about ignition, i remember reading a thread rotarygod made years ago about the MS viability. IIRC one issue you'll have to address is the throttle, electronic vs cable and all

 

read up on rotarygods post etc...but since then there hasn't been any progress or news about the megasquirt and compatibility with rx8's

I am currently installing an Electromotive TECgt to control my Renisis engine recently installed in my 1979 RX7. It has been really tough to tune as it is "very sensitive" to very small changes in the fuel map, battery voltage compensation etc.
