Angry Maurice not answering?

Am I the only one that is having trouble with Maurice not responding to his customer's email or IM? I bought and MP3 player over 3 weeks ago from him. Last week, I emailed and left him a IM, but still no response. I know he's busy, but he could at least respond to an email or something. IMO, that's not good customer service.

Anybody else have any trouble?

BTW, Maurice if you read this and you don't answer me within 1 week I will be expecting a full refund. I'll take my business elsewhere.

I understand how no response can be aggravating, but this aint Sears, JCPenney or McDonalds you're dealing with here. Be real.

I will say that I've emailed his son 3 times, and he's always replied within a few hours. Just email him or michelle@harddata.com and I'm sure they'll respond. I'm not sure he checks the forums that often anymore. It sounds like it might be easier to run his business by email. These forums can be hard to navigate reliably.

Why don't you just call him? Like someone else said, be real. This is something he does on the side...surely you realized this before you placed your order. Sooner or later Maurice is going to throw his hands up in the air and say "To hell with all this! Make your own damn mods!" Then we all lose.

Be Real? Are you kidding? I understand this isn't a big retailer, but don't you think that if someone is going to sell a product that he/she should at least respond to emails or IM's? It's been 3 weeks and I haven't received one response. I've emailed his son, yet no response. How would you react? It's not that I don't think Maurice will deliver the product, but I'd like to know if he shipped it yet or not.

BTW, for those of you that gave me good advice, thanks a bunch. And for those of you that are here just to criticize then why don't you just "get a life".:o

So, it's ok to criticize CZ, but not ok to criticize you. Ok, I think I understand now. I think it might be a good idea for you to take your business elsewhere.

not responding

I'm a new member of the forum but i've had my 8 and have been following this forum for some time. Just like to send a message of support for Maurice. Damn, he picks work intensive hobbies. Money is nice but I don't think he started out with making a killing in mind. Keep it going Maurice.
On the other hand I do understand that waiting is hard. If a peson becomes fustrated (by having to wait longer than they think they should) then they are in a self feeding negative situation. Thats not good for anyone. Remember the customer is ALWAYS in control. If you don't want to wait then just cancel your order. But don't rag on Maurice. He's probaly doing the best he can. In other words chill out dude!

And "elsewhere" would be...? Oh yeah... nowhere. Who else is providing a plug-in pre-programmed ECU upgrade right now?

Seems your "elsewhere" isn't really a choice - you can stay stock, wait and get the Canzoomer ECU mod, or roll your own solution, including re-wiring and patching the harness, with a Greddy E-Manage or similar. Those are kind of difficult to hide when it's time for warranty service, though...

Regards,
Gordon

I've always gotten a reply from someone at his organization. Sometimes it takes a couple days but they always replied to me.

Hey guys -- Maurice just called me. I faxed an order for a midpipe and programming cable in and 10 minutes later I get a call from Maurice himself comfirming my order and email address. We chatted for a few minutes about Stage 1, M Flash, midpipes, etc. -- Thanks Maurice!

p.s. -- my midpipe (CZ-Midp4) should be shipping within the week and programming cables are out of stock but should have more to ship within 7 to 10 days.

RXhusker, out of curiosity, so what did Maurice say about the M flash, last I heard from him was his latest tune was best suited for L. What's his recommendation?

He said the fuel maps for tuning purposes were the same. Only real difference was during the first few seconds after start-up where Mazda really cut the amount of fuel to prevent flooding -- otherwise it is the same. He did say the map has been updated since I got my new Stage 1 a month or so ago -- sounds like he wants to post some new info -- just trying to find the time. This must be the different tune for each gear map they have been working on.

So, it's ok to criticize CZ, but not ok to criticize you. Ok, I think I understand now. I think it might be a good idea for you to take your business elsewhere.
Am I the one providing the service? Uh, NO!. It seems like to enjoy criticizing your forum members as well so it seems we're both at fault.
And "elsewhere" would be...? Oh yeah... nowhere. Who else is providing a plug-in pre-programmed ECU upgrade right now?
I guess you assumed I was referring to an ECU mod? Wrong again! I ordered an MP3 player. Yes, an MP3 player which I don't recall CZ making by hand.

Look, I could have bought the player from another vendor on this forum or somewhere else. But, with such high customer remarks CZ has been receiving I decided to go with him. I wanted to support his reputation as well. I'm not demanding to have the player right now. All I simply want to know is the status of the player. $300 isn't a small amount of money. I haven't received a respone from CZ or any of his affiliates in a week and a half while some of you are hearing from him within the same day.

So how could I not be a bit upset? You tell me.

Well, although I've never met CZ in person, he is a personal friend of mine. You started up this thread with a shot to his integrity and I have his back. Now, you've turned on me, well, fine. You aren't the first here who's gotten a rise out of me by your total lack of manners and you won't be the last, no doubt.

And now that I've mentioned "doubt", I doubt the validity of this whole situation you say you're in. There are all sorts of ways to get in touch with the CZ orginization. How about maybe picking up the phone? You want me to find out the facts on this and post what I find out right here?

I have sent several emails to Graham, and left phone messages, and I have not been able to get any response. I have spoken to Maurice personally in the past, and he really seams like a hell of nice guy. However I am really concerned not to get any response to my emails (total 4 emails, 1st one dates back to +3 weeks ago, another 2 weeks ago, another last weekend, and one today, and a phone call today). I have used various email addressed just incase. I really do not know why I am not get a response, but perhaps my emails are just not reaching him or his son. I would like to think there is something else wrong as I have a very high opinion of him. If anyone can get me a cell number for him I would certainly appreciate it. Again I am not trying to complain, but I really need to reach him. If any of you who can reach him at any time I would like your help, by having him call me on my cell @ 503-888-5015. I really appreciate any help

Mark

Call the main number for CanZoomer, and if you can't get Maurice on the phone, speak with Rachael. She'll take care of you.

And guys, let's calm down a bit here. While I can understand getting frustrated, there's no need to take anything personally. If it keeps up, I'll lock and/or delete the thread. Thanks.
