The "on/off" switch disconnects the CZ unit outputs from the car's PCM, so it has no effect on the car. The car returns to "stock" PCM operation. I recommend turning off the engine before operating the switch. We haven't had to reset the PCM when doing this, and we do it all the time (as part of our testing procedure).

If the CZ unit is turned off, is there any way for the dealer to know it is installed or if it is removed from the car before the dealer services it, is there any way they car tell it had the CZ unit installed?

my car got flashed with my CZ on - all its doing is altering the maf sensors voltage so while the car is not running its really not doing anything and isn't detectable.
