im looking for a good tuner for my rx8 2004. i dont have enough for cobb accesport so im looking for something for a labtop but idk of any.

I dont know who tunes with a "labtop" !!!!... but I do know Mazdamaniac tunes with a "Laptop" using the COBB AP to Flash the OEM ECU... but how you stated you have no monies for the COBB... so youre second option is to get your car to RACING BEAT in the 714 (Orange County California) and get them to program their flash on your 8. GOOOOODDD LUCCKKKKK

 

You do know that most people, if not all, tune with a laptop, right? As long as he have proper engine management then he's good to go.

Also... if you want the most HP out your stock 8 you can buy a HONDATA tuner.... many people running near 500 hp to the rear wheels use it.

 

Hmm. Racing Beat flash - $300 and works once.
AccessPORT - $400 and it works forever.

It means that unless you know of some tuning shop that sells an OBDII plug or has 1 that can work with some Tuning Program and be able to flash your computer...

Your only options are to ...
1. Mazdamaniac w/Cobb Ap
2. Send your computer to Racing Beat... wait for it to be flashed... and wait for it to be returned.

 

What programming language are you going to write your new tuning software in?
