Hot Start Turbo

Hey i recently installed a Greddy turbo on my RX8, and im having trouble, i cant start it when its hot. Im using turbo sparks from RX-7 9's all arround and still no effect , could it be from the lambda probe? Or is it from the Air-fuel ratio or timing, does it require some tuning, i need help/advice.

P.S. I talked to Jeff from Mazdamaniac, but all i got was 1 reply asking what year my car is

P.P.S. The car is 2004 5 speed MT 192PS RX7

He may have been asking for the year because starters were upgraded. I think 04-05 have starters dont crank as well.

^ Its fixable with a rebuild or a new motor however i wouldn't jump to conclusions just by those symptoms that seems premature.

it's hard to start when it's hot? but it starts right up when it's cold?
may be your compression? fuel pump? coils? sparkplugs?
check all of those first..

What engine management the car is run on? It could be the Cranking / Water temp MAP is out of wack. My car is running on Winter MAP right now (Microtech LT-10) and it starts fine below 60F. When temp is warmer than 60F I noticed that it difficult to start. Winter MAP injects more fuel than summer MAP and causes flood so car won't start. Need to reduce fuel.

I reverted the settings to the original ECU stock ones, and it starts even if i dont rev it before i turn it off, i guess i'll go from there i suppose, new injectors coming next week :> so i can make it run properly on higher rpms.

E-manage ultimate, but do notice that my RX-8 is 4 ports 4 injectors, and i having my injectors working on a higher than 90% is bad, also on 6500 rpms they work on 100% and the AFR gets to 13.Also i get a spike on 4k rpms when i put the pedal to the floor.

Edit: Can you recommend anything better then the E-manage ultimate that is better? any tips would be apriciated.

OK - I didn't realise it was a 4 port .

Cobb AP is lightyears ahead of the E-manage .

Where are you ?

You can go to mazdamaniac.com directly and buy it off him - assuming the AP can service a euro 4 port .

Failing that get back to me and i'll tell you about what I'm using .
