Engine tuning app.
So since things have gotten so simple over the past decade with phones and tablets being mini computers, what would it take to create an app for android to be able to not only read through obdII, but write to it also, just like the Cobb access port does.

Tactrix Openport 2.0, usb micro to mini/micro, and a lot of coding should be doable.
You could just probly use a windows tablet with ATR/AP or MazdaEdit/Tactrix and you are good to go.

Already done, at least with 3rd party ECUs

The windows tab (non RT) is also certainly viable with MEP and ATR.

Adaptronic is a piggy back ECU and overrides certain key functions of the OEM ECU. It has no direct ability to manage the canbus, although it does read it for certain things.
The Cobb AccessPORT is dead on our platform. Versatuner (S2 only) and/or MEP on a Win8 tablet is what you're looking for.
