Smile ECU Download

Hi guys,

Does anybody know how can I download ECU data from my car? I bought a sCANalyser Pro Tuner‏ last week, but I didn't include ECU downloader.(Of course, they will send base ECU data to me.) But, I want to store my original data.

Help me !

Gotta give Hymee your PCM ID and he will send you the factory tune.

MMP (and even the full dealership/workshop tool) does not provide a function to read the ECU contents in this manner. This is possible using my stuff, but I have not released this functionality yet. So far it has not been a big drama, as I can either get the "standard files", or for Pettit owners I can get the file that was used for each car via an arrangement with Cam.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Hi guys,

I live in South Korea. Do not exist MAZDA in my country. So I imported my RX-8 from JAPAN last year. JDM RX-8 has a problem that it can't over 180KPH. I'd like to remove this speed limit.
I was firmly resolved, bought sCANalyser Pro Tuner for remove it.

I have tried to put ECU data 3 times.
1st time, I was putted ECU data that It was original data. No problem.
2nd time, I changed only RPM limit to 9500RPM. Yes, No problem too.
3rd time, I changed SPEED limit. I couldn't start my car.

I tried to find any information on internet and this forum. I couldn't find useful information. I don't have any method. So, I wanted to download my ECU full data like RX8_PGM.

I think, my ECU is dead.

I have a problem. Because I can't set immobilizer in my country when I'll buy new ECU from JAPAN. But I'm not give up yet. Because, my RX-8 is very precious for my life.

Please help me .

I highly recommend working directly with Hymee. The no-start issue is probably something reversable with the software you have.

Also, no one has yet been able to remove the speed limiter for the RX-8s with automatic transmissions. The manual transmission RX-8s do not have speed limiters.

Not true.

I can remove it on all models EXCEPT the USDM AT models.
Addressing it on the US models is in the works.

Unhappy Vcm

It is yet to be solved. I bought Ford/MAZDA VCM on the recommendation of Hymee. I received it yesterday morning. But, VCM couldn't connect to my car(Start New Session -> All Other). "Manual Vehicle Entry" didn't, either. Of course I updated it. (IDS is 6.16, Calibration is C63) And, I couldn't find RX-8 on VCM support car list.

I was gonna ask MAZDA Japan for help. But, MAZDA Japan said, they couldn't hlep me.

Sorta.
However, if he has already broken his OE ROM, it may be missing important data (like the cluster match, the "as build" or the imobilizer registration) that nothing will fix other than the Mazda-authorized M-MDS.

Sorry, sounds very troublesome since there is no Mazda in Korea. Not to mention the language barrier.

Thanks!

Pcm inspection

I found some different connector from MT on MAZDA service manual. 4AT ECU didn't have these.

- APV position sensor power supply
- Fuel injector (FP2) control
- APV opening angle
- VFAD control

If I'll re-program AT ECU to MT ECU, can I use these ports?

Only on North American models.
European and Asian models are limited to 131 MPH.

No - They are physically different.
The AT PCM is missing the controls for the actuators you mention as well as the 3rd set of fuel injectors.
