Exclamation CZ 1.1 MAP Help

I’ve searched up and down the forum and I can’t find exactly what I need. This is what I do know from what I have found thus far…

1.) The posts I keep finding are between late 2004 and mid 2005 and most of the people have 2004 RX8’s

2.) According to what I read before, there was a flash upgrade from Mazda (from “L” to “M” or something like that.

3.) The maps that are posted that I found were good maps but the people started finding out that the ECU didn’t like them.

4.) I can’t use the stage 2 (where you really feel a difference) because it will completely destroy my cat.

5.) Ambient temperature can throw off the tuning

6.) You cant tune below certain RPM’s

7.) Pushing the car too much in the way of tuning will result in the ECU saying “screw you” and modifying its self to neutralize any tuning you have done.

Now all this info is great but I just can’t find what I have been hunting for. Basically what I need is a WORKING map that is tuned very well but not so much that the ECU fights with it and that will work with my LATE model 2005 RX8 MT. Does anyone here who has a late model 2005 RX8 have a canzoomer with a working map that actually has noticeable gains in performance? Oh yeah one other note, I’m on the east coast between DC and Baltimore to give you an idea of the climate I am in.

Thanks in advance!

P.S.

How do I tell if the CZ has had that upgrade to e-manage gold (or whatever that upgrade was in 05)??

if you have the 1.1 map loaded then you have the upgrade. It wasnt a differnet unit change it was a change to the existing unites to keep them from frying the coils. As far as the car flashes are concerened I think we're on "S" now. With the early models still running the l flash the the CZ1 was great, it leaned things out to where they should be and the car didn't care. when they came out with the "N" flash it did the same thing as the cz1 map. You will not see any gains unless you get aggressive and its not going to be the gains that you would have seen back in the day. My advice to you is get a midpipe and start tuning, if you're not willing to do that then sell your cz and recoup some of your cash cause your not going to see any real gains from the stage one map.
