Hey, just got in my used Cobb ap. its the 1st (red dong )version, and it was unmarried. connect and married to my car with no issues, however getting it to connect to my comp is impossible. im running windows 7. tried downloading AP manager several times. uninstalling, re installing, will not connect to my AP. also my comp comes with an error every time i plug it in. it powers up like its connected to my car. message i get is USB not recognized. (unknown device), says something about device malfunctioned.
Any ideas? any help would be much appreciated! thanks.

Try using a different usb cable to connect to the computer, and also try it on another computer in the house if you can.

ok, will try the cable thing. dont have another computer to try on tho
i hope its the cable, since this doesnt look like the original cable.

+1 Emery! I had an issue like this a while back and when I replaced my USB cable it worked fine again.

OK, thanks do you have to use the Cobb Cable?

No any USB cable should work. I have used my camera USB cable a couple of times and it worked fine.
