Since it's been a while, today I figured I'd uninstall the AP from the car and update it to the final firmware. Unfortunately, the device appears to have frozen at the update screen during the process. I let it sit for a while, and later tried unplugging for a bit and still no luck. It's simply bricked at the update screen whenever I plug it into the computer or the car.

Has anyone had similar issues or have any suggestions?

 

I had this once. Plugging it in different USB port on my PC and running the update again from the start fixed it. Don't use USB hub.

 

I gave that a try originally, but the computer hasn't recognized the device since it got stuck.

 

Ah, OK. Mine was recognizable all the time.
Your only option is to send it to Cobb I guess.

 

Whew! I was able to get it to work. It must have been a driver issue that caused it to stall out during the update in the first place. A different machine with freshly installed drivers recognized it and it repeated the update process without issue.
