Does anyone have experience with engine replacement without warranty and what's the price for replacing the engine?

Thanks!

Depends on the engine...and where you get it installed

A good rebuild will be 3K ish...plus...up to 8K or more depending on what you do

Install should run about $1K or so most places

The price for replacing an engine without warranty at a dealership is around $4700.

You can go through Mazda to get a rebuilt engine or contact Mazmart (RX8Club vendor). The standard figure if you are having someone else install it is 8 hrs labor time.

I would go with a rebuilt engine from Mazmart.

Also Black Halo Racing makes house calls and will fly out and rebuild your engine onsite.

Maybe you can get yourself a second hand engine from someone for maybe about 2k , and if you like to do things yourself and if you have a garage, in 2 days you can change it yourself, at least thats what I did :D

If you live in socal. I i highly recomend rising star auto. Ive done engine replacements myself. Cost me almost 250.00 in buying the parts i needed to do the job alone, not to mention it took me 2 days. Then I found this shop. Did it in 1 day and only charged me $500.00.
