As for the plasti-dip...I checked dipyourcar.com and they state that the stuff is good to 320 degrees F. Thoughts on Plasti-dipping engine covers...
Granted, they aren't the most unbiased source but they also claim to have painted plastic engine covers without problem. The adapter kit aluminum back plate is pretty far removed from the engine...I'll run a test panel in the coming months and let you know. Are you thinking of painting your's a particular color?

A more cost effective replacement for the coolant over flow would be nice as the only alternative I've seen that looked good was around $600. But happy to see this for now.

We can definitely sell you a kit without the washer fluid bottle at a discount. I'll send you a PM with the details.
Keep in mind though that the cost of the kit is largely driven by the need to recoup the cost of the design and fabrication of the back plate. While removing the washer fluid bottle will save some, it drives neither cost nor weight of the system.

Sohn Adapter Install
If folks are ordering the Sohn adapter from Real World Solutions Inc at the same time they are getting the adapter installation support kit from Epitroch LLC, it may be helpful to review how to install the sohn adapter itself.
Loki posted a superb "how-to" at the below link back in 2009. Accompanying pictures are excellent and were very helpful. Look at the first post under the headings "Version 1, Part 2 Adapter Install". It's what I used when I installed my adapter. There are some important tips there like removing the passenger side front wheel, shifting the OMP oil lines and how to avoid having to drain coolant.
