Not sure if anyone looks at this thread anymore but if you have any questions you can PM me. I have done this to my 8 and a couple friends of mine too. I have actually gotten quite good. I have a pic in my signature. Let me know what you think.

 

I have to get a picture of what I did the other day. Not sure if I'll do more but it works for now. I only painted the raised U shaped part of the engine cover. (Like ScudRunner did)

I would like to do that bar that goes across (name escapes me) but I dont know how taking that off and doing it.

 

Could you post a link of how do we we get the covers out?

 

Thinking about doing this myself, however, not sure what would go good with a crystal white pearl.

 

i bet white would look really good if you can get it to look polished, bright and smooth.
