First post.... wooooo!

Installed ignition coils, wires, plugs. About one month later had an electrical fire where the engine harness wiring meets the ignition coil connector furthest away from the front of the car. I noticed the smoke, immediately pulled over, looked around and saw the melted coil connector. Fired it back up, no smoke or anything, the ignition coil connector looked melted/burnt but engine was feeling totally normal, drove home with no misfires or power problems etc. Next day car wont turn over at all, Ignition relay was blown but all fuses look fine. The engine immobilizer flashes very quickly when keys are to the "ON" position. Replaced ignition relay, tried unplugging both battery terminals, but cant get immobilizer to quit flashing and car will not turn over.

So..... do I have to replace the entire engine harness because the connector going to the last ignition coil is pooched? Is there some sort of adapter I can get and just buy one ignition coil? Why will my engine immobilizer not go away? I never had any check engine lights or problems with the running of the engine at any time. Someone please help!

End of first post.... WOOOOO

So the coils go in order from the firewall to the front clip?

Thanks.
As a bit of a novice I found this straightforward to execute.
Followed this method because I did not want the hassle of removing the air intake etc. I was very slow and methodical replacing each lead one at a time, and matching up with the replacement ones.
Hardest part was getting the coils connectors off ( I use a flat screw driver to ease it off whilst pressing the rear ) and avoiding dropping the coils nut.
My coils seemed to be originals (Km 60K ) they had star markings on the base which rubbed off, although darker scarring remained. Not sure whether to test them and look to keep as a back up spare or accept they have done there dash.
Car seems to have lost it tendency to be jerky at low speed, based on test run after fitting.
