If any of the 3D printer guys are looking for possible sales, their were once side handles made for Maglites for use as a baton, but no more.
Existing ones on ebay are going for around $70.
Potentially fusible with Titanium or other exotic metals, functionally not advisable based on the current market as others cost less. No need to mention the need for 3D design/ files.
Our filament 3D printers are good for mockups mostly.
Hey all, I made a new account just to post for this thread haha. I'm actually the creator of the phone slot cassette mount featured up there, hopefully there's more to come but I'm fairly busy.Anyways, I was scrolling last night and found this beauty here 👀https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/gauge-pod-air-vent-for-mazda-rx8 A defrost mounted 52mm gauge cluster!I've been keeping my eye out and am hyped that someone made one, I actually have some plans to customize that one down the road..
Has anyone modelled or found Nav hood 3d parts? I'd like to remix the lower part of the hood to accommodate different aftermarket screens. Strangely Chinese sites are full of aftermarket for the main dash and no one has developed a Nav hood retrofit. Even non nav models would work with a fixed screen clipped into that panel.

FYI there is a raspi 7in screen that easily fits into the pup up nav hood. Its what I use for my open auto (android auto) system. You just have to do a lot of trial and error to get things to work.

I have a 3D scanner and have been meaning to do this for either an IC-7 or AIM dash. May things have taken priority over this though ha.

That is kinda of nice and far cheaper than purchasing the already model.

That is a handy tool
Yea I have the OEM nav hood, and I have had a nexus 7 in there before which was great, however I'd love to be able to edit the bottom part of the nav hood to adjust the bezel size without hacking at an OEM one!!
ender 3 v2, ive had it for a while and "upgraded" a lot of stuff (mostly your suggestions lol) and have had some weird issues since. tried swapping parts back and forth but i really need to get something better
Yes I remember now, ha. Yeah I think you wanted in for cheap and then started having some issues if I recall. Maybe not, hopefully I didn't send you down the wrong path.
If anything just get any Bambu Labs printer. A much better printing experience.
i started modding it so i could print c/f for gun parts which is when i started having issues lol. yeah i want something bigger faster and non bed slinger

I've been thinking the same exact thing but instead I wanted to get a model of the clip in bit, so that I can model it in CAD and slowly stretch the borders out to accommodate those screens, shaving off lets say, 3cm each side to fit a 9inch screen and print a model to prototype instead of cutting up the OEM plastic.
Have you managed to find these files? If not then I guess I'll just have to 3D scan myself and post here next year when I have time

I'm still looking! If you end up scanning please share!
if I ever call you, I would instantly hate you. Microphone on the vent, that said, is that a loose mount for the display near the 12V port or 3D printer and what’s the display size?
That black sponge around the MIC is there to fight exactly that. Also known as an anti-peh/anti pop filter. The smaller screen is mounted with long plastic spacers... this was years ago and I keep telling myself one day I'll make a nicer mount. I know how, I have a spare ashtray, I have a $1000 3D printer, just can't bring myself to do it.
