2006 auto Trans filter and gasket.
So I ordered a trans filter kit from Napa.
Got it all apart and new filter bolted up. The pickup spout was slightly shorter but still measured to be 1-1/3” under the level tube on the pan.
Haley’s matched except two holes which was the first clue. So the old gasket was in great shape. I decide to reuse that with a slight layer of rtv. Filled and ran. Everything seemed fine till I started it today. Had to rev to 3k to engage trans. After it’s warm everything seems fine. Where is everyone getting gaskets and filter. Think I’ll clean my old filter as it’s just metal screen and drop an again to redo. Seems that slight shorter pickup tube may be the issue. Used same fluid as I have in the past with zero issues. Amsoil atf. 6 speed auto. Seems to be the filter is the only thing I did differently but having a hard time tracking another brand down other than Napa.
It has 4 bolts and everything else was the same as the original.
