Will the the original air box work with the Revi Ram Air Duct?

Hello,

I am giving back (end of lease) my car in one month.

I want to remove my REVi Intake Kit (I will sell it) but want to leave the REVi Ram Air Duct in (I did not install the ram air duct myself so I don't want to take the chance). Will the the original air box work with the Revi Ram Air Duct?

Will it means also that I don't need to connect any VFAD hose & the VFAD connector due to the fact that I am not puting back the VFAD unit?

Thank you for your help!

Sorry, can I connect anyway the VFAD hoses & the VFAD connector but cover the end of the last hose with a cap due to the fact that the VFAD unit will not be re-installed?

Thanks.

Yes... you can have the OEM air box with the RB Air Duct.
The VFAD nipple is already capped-off at the intake manifold extension, so nothing to worry about.

I see.... you want to trick the dealer into thinking the VFAD unit is there... kinda hard NOT to notice that air duct (if the dealer knows what to look for).
I suppose you could install the VFAD assembly up to the airbox and just terminate the end of the hose.
But if you put THAT much work into it, might as well just go the rest of the way and put the rest of the OEM intake on.
I can always give you the RB installation instructions to help go back to stock.

If you're really turning it back in, I'd yank the ram air and sell it on here. People are always looking for them. If Jon can't find the instructions, I have them as well.

I am sorry, I sent you a PM just after you post your reply.

Do you have a document that will help me easily remove the nose of the car? I am afraid to remove the nose & not be able to put it back

Thanks.

No problem
Here is a link that has the instructions:
https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...78&postcount=1

Just save each file and print it out (remember that the attachment preview is scaled down, so it'll be more readable once you save the file onto your PC).

Actually, the Fog Light connectors have a plastic release detent tab and slide straight out.

The corner bulbs twist and pop out.

Also, I plugged my VFAD vacuum line (where it normally connects to the VFAD diaphram metallic line), although there were no RB directions to do so.
