**Assuming** you have a 6spd RX-8, your car comes stock with a Tochigi-Fuji limited slip diff which has similar characteristics to a Torsen lsd. It works pretty well at putting the power to the ground when both rear wheels are on the ground, but if one lifts in the air, it acts like an open-diff and one wheel drive action occurs.
For a rear lsd upgrade that could be used in drift competition, I've heard good things about the OS Giken super-lock lsd. Grassroots Motorsports had a good article on lsd's which can be viewed here: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/articles/whats-diff/
OS Giken's website can be viewed here: http://osgiken.net/
One benefit of the OS Giken, is that it's locking characteristics can be adjusted to suit your individual needs. Autocrossers and road racers typically have the diff set up to lock progressively all the way up to 100% lock, while drifters could have the lsd set-up to lock-up much more rapidly with throttle application.
Research, research, research. Talk to drifters and installers and I'm sure you'll decide on something suitable for your sport.
In terms of a CAI, most folks on here use the AEM and/or Mazdaspeed which are identical. These cars don't gain much from an intake, so I'd personally focus my money elsewhere -- like a full exhaust system (header, midpipe, catback) and/or a Cobb Accesport with a custom tune.
