the one that i know is available for the AUTO now is the one by blitz.

As for reliability issues I can't really confirm with you.

No real SC kits out in the US for the RX8 at this time. There are ones almost ready (Pettit & Axial Flow). There is the Blitz unit, but it is extremely expensive, and power gains are not that good (about 35-40 hp) for the massive amounts of money.

do you know what a blow-off valve is? And/or how it works? I ask because for one, they're not really on supercharged vehicles...it's cool that you can't 'resis' the sound, but you gotta get some stuff straight, all of your questions have been answered using the search. As for the Search, I dunno about ONLY finding stuff about the electric supercharger... Just about every time I click 'New Posts' there's at least one thread on the list that deals with a Supercharger i.e. Pettit, Axial Flow. I, myself, don't know too much about the Blitz S/C but I do know that the others are gonna be great. If you want a BOV, get a turbo.

I'll let you search on that though.

There aren't any cost effective SC kits on the market today.

That doesn't stop anyone from buying a new unit ($1800-$3500) building the brackets and pipes (< $1000) and adding one of the piggyback tuning boxes (< $1000).

We're thinking about adding an SC for the 914-Renesis we're building and picked up a decent rebuilt Mercedes Kompressor for $450.

O M G ! You just made me SOOOO proud. Great use of that line!

oh and you don't need a Supercharger, just get the Turbo XS exhaust, it gives you at LEAST 25 hp! (inside joke for those who read the turbo xs thread)
If you insist on getting one, I heard Walmart was a sale soon, their Automotive section rules!

i am sure you can put blow-off valves on supercharger and it will sound the same, cause i seen many civics have them and you can do a search on google and find them
