My stock 2004 RX8 6 speed top out at 140mph in fifth gear at 8500rpm, me and my friend weight 250pd together, with maybe 40 pd in the bag. Is this normal?????

BTW my 8 tops out at 41mph.....in first gear.

 

at those speeds, weight will definitely play a factor. road and weather conditions too.

 

184mph @ impending fuel cut, in 6th gear.

 

Maybe on a dyno - certainly not on the street.

done 165 mph goin on the freeway towards barstow from lake havasu.......4 people in car, slight downhill, couldve gone a bit faster unfortunately cars drivin "slow" in front of me forced my slow down, had potential to get maybe to 170..........it was i believe 75-80 degrees weather slight wind.

 

how fast can a 350z and a G35 go???

 

4 ppl in the car or 1 person in the car won't change it's top speed.

I've got a 2003 350Z and I personally have not taken it above 130 but I've read on 350Z forums that with certain conditions the Z can hit 160 possibly 165.

(be honest, I've never been to the track but, I tried it once at 5th gear going around 120? I think, it was on a freeway with no one around)

 

147 mph is the fastest I've had it.

Of course, this was at a track.

Never drive over the speed limit.

240km/h (149 mph) legally in the Northern Territory of Australia, where there is no speed limit on open roads. And I do mean open roads... there is nothing for miles.

My friend has had his 350z up to 265km/h (165 mph).

 

I hit 136 in fifth so far...my exit came up

I don't think im gunna find another good opportunity to run like that on the freeway for a while so i think thats gunna be a record till i do a track day lol.

 

My top speed is 270km/h about 168 milles

 

168 MPH....speedo corrected error, you are probably only going about 156.8 MPH or slower.

But hey, who's counting. lol...

 

don't the american 8's have speed limiters ? Mine is limited to about 190km (119mph) .
Is it easy to diconect the limiter ?
