What kind of clutch?

My clutch is slipping really badly in my car, I am not going back to stock. I want to get an aftermarket flywheel, counterweight if necessary, and a clutch kit.

I was checking out Race Roots website and I seen an Exedy stage 2 cermetallic clutch kit for $485 and a Act prolite flywheel for $295 and a counterweight for $205. Counterweight if necessary, will research it if I go that route.

What do you guys that have upgraded and tested found the best? Something in maybe the price range of $1000ish for the kit and flywheel? I want something stiff, I put a Act 2600 clutch and Fidanza lightweight flywheel in my old Turbo Talon and I loved it.

Thanks a bunch!!

Ty, I think my best bet would be the Act street duty but my near future plans are to go F.I. and I'm afraid the clutch will not be good enough. It says the Exedy cera-metallic chatters harshly, will it be absolutely dreadful for daily driving?

there are plenty of guys running OEM clutches with turbo or supercharger setups. Our OEM is already a 'stage 1' and is good for about 300 - 325 whp so unless you're going with a BIG turbo or lots of boost, you shouldn't need anything too crazy.

just food for thought.

also, try contacting Charles Hill: I know he's helped plenty of people determine which clutch best fits their individual needs.
