what small things can i do for a little extra power i saw horsepower tv today and they had an oil additive that added 9 hp to charger rt would that work for the rotary engine without any side effects or would this be bad. i have already no cat and intake just trying to do every little thing to improve my time at the track.

Not worth doing it cheap.
Just enjoy the car how it is now until you are serious about improving it.

How much do you weigh? Im being serious , go to the gym and lose some weight cheapest mod you can do lol although its hard earned. I think going FI is the best horsepower per dollar, but an oil additive for 9 horsepower? You gotta be kidding me lol.

weight reduction is cheap just remove the spare tire, jack, back seat anything that you dont need and remove the the fuel filters on the injectors to squeeze out a few cc's

also it wont be the same with the Rene in the 8, our engines come near the extent of potential for its NA aplication being a small, high reving, well engineered rotary, the big displacement and vastly untuned and underengineered V8 has vastly more potential to reach higher into larger hp numbers...

if you want power and mostly at the track.. pick up a Nitrous Kit and do like a 50 shot. best bang for the buck

Some cheap hp

*Cut the cat out of the stock midpipe and replace it with a ss packed resonator .May give you a cel however
*Get the Racing beat duct and a K&N drop in air cleaner and remove the screens in the intake . Try 1 out first then 2 if it causes no issues. Make sure you seal the gap between the duct and the air cleaner housing.
*Agency power underdrive pulley is cheap and will give you a couple of hp .
Those 3 things will make a difference for very little money - 7-10hp.

Then I would go for the AP if you can stretch your finances that far

A piston engine has many parts an surfaces that slide against one another that create friction. A rotary engine has very few moving parts to get the job done. Oil in both engines is used to lubricate and to cool. In a rotary engine, while it is needed to lubricate, it's main purpose is to cool the engine. In a piston engine, the water/antifreeze & radiatior are the only way used to cool the engine. How many other cars come with 1 (AT) or 2 (MT) engine oil coolers on the car? You aren't going to find them on any unless that car has a 400+HP or forced induction engine.
I have no evidence of this, but if those oil additives do work, their effect would be much less in a rotary engine. Also, with the government demands on fuel economy, don't you think the auto manufacturers (or the government for that matter) would require that you use them.
