One of the more intelligent posts in this thread.

Mazda extended the warranty, on the engine core, to 8yrs/100,000 miles. Your worried about a $100 labor charge, which will only be charged if they void your warranty for some reason, when you are going to pay thousands to 10's of thousands for an engine swap? That doesn't make since.

I'm just tired of the slow rx8 i don't really drive much anyway and got plans on expanding my business anyway, you say 20,000 but i plan on keeping the car not getting rid of it, so it's not a big deal thanks everyone for input

no it was in reference to what he (NAPA) did to my car as far as damaging it, not the 100 dollars that's more like an insult from the shop, I have money to do the 20b i was merely trying to find out what was the best set up and why? People are jumping on me like i'm crazy but that's fine i registered when i bought my car back in 2006 and never really posted because of people flaming you when you have questions, i'm not trying to sound like a jerk i just want knowledge that's all.
My dealer has screwed me over so many times that if i took my car there and if it needed an engine they would BS there way out unless it was a recall i've talked to them before about that and recently after this thread posting, (sorry forgot to mention that) also they are extremely dishonest about repair work as well.
once again sorry if anyone took anything i said wrong i'm not trying to come off as an idiot or jerk

You're getting flamed because you registered in 2006 and still haven't learned to search. There are a couple of 13B REW swap build threads, at least 4 20B build threads, 2 threads about 4-rotor builds, a couple LSx swap threads, and even a couple other random piston engine swap threads. The majority of those threads are sill actively posted to. If you want to know what needs to happen, go read the threads from start to finish. PM the op of each and ask them questions. Posting up a blanket "I want to do an engine swap because a napa wannabe grease monkey told me my engine is shot" is not going to get you the answers you desire and no one is going to tell you what you want to hear. It's apparent that that's all you want to hear anyway. Good luck with the build. I hope you wear a belt to keep your wallet from pulling your pants down. Without the ability to research for yourself, your gonna need it.

now go find the build threads and read them. I think there's a DIY on how to search the forum as well. Let us know if you find one the meets your power, budget, and skill level expectations.

yeah there are a few 3 rotor turbo setups on here. here is a link to a thread about it since searching seems to be an issue...

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-major-horsepower-upgrades-93/3-rotor-rx8-google-page-ranking-78088/

he explains all the parts needed, work, and total cost.

you're welcome.
