For a so-called performance upgrade there are very few threads on this product, I wonder why??

“The Secret Weapon Intake was designed, to increase air intake volume to the engine. The concept is to create two different air velocity profiles, one traveling at higher speeds than the other. This technology increases air volume and speed to the engine, which naturally feeds the engine 3x more air than the conventional air intake system. The intake pipe is bent out of high quality 6061 Aluminum on our Automated CNC mendrel bender. Polished to a high show quality finish. The SW1 Air filter features a tuned velocity stack to increase velocity and decrease turbulence”

Things that come to mind after going to that link.

Installing an intake without direct cold air induction will INCREASE airflow 3x??
One pipe = TWO different air velocity profiles??
What happens to this ‘increased air volume’ after it makes it through the throttle body on its way to the 1-3 split in the intake runners (6-port engine) ???

I don't work for these guys.... the poster simply wanted more info it appeared.. this is the detail... BUT.. good ?s expo1....

1st ? - maybe they are refering to the open element giving more air flo... but who knows actually

2nd ? - if you look closely at the pic below, it does appear it is pipe inside a pipe... therefore the 2 air velocity paths that meet... at the throttle body.

3rd ? - same as happens w/any intake... they all go thru the throttle body.

What's with the bashing?

Just because it's not HKS or AEM or RB it's junk? It seems to me, that they actually do some research and development on their products, as opposed to many. Brand names aren't everything.

The cut-away picture depicts air speeds. It's not a flame...

I don't buy into their hype, but I won't immediately discount the product because of the name, or lack thereof. Throw a box around it and it could be viable.

Nope. I never purchased an intake. I thought a supercharger was just around the corner. But it seems they are always just around the corner.

No, no, no, its junk because its "Weapon R!" Don't confuse techno-babble with technology, that's like the difference between NASA and Star Trek.

Seriously, these guys have been around a while, and they've always been a joke.

i would never buy a product for my car that has the word 'secret' as its description. those things belong on Civics, where they can brag about that stuff and get 'respect'.

wow sometimes people are so stupid, they belong on "civics" blah blah blah

alright how about this? stfu with that maybe? you can make those "civics" damn fast with the correct mods, YEs you can dump money on anything and make it fast

BUt enough is enough, One day your gonna mess with the wrong "civic" and yeah your going to get your *** handed to you.

get nice old school hatch drop a K-series engine in it. and say bye bye to evos and stis , obviously not a stock evo n sti, but hey GO ahead Start putting bolt on's on the engine, put some IPS K2 Cams, Type-R final drive, Hondata K-Pro.

or better yet Drop the Hytech kit 300whp N/A

the thing is you see so many riced out civics that the poor car has a bad rep.

and if anyone here wants to beg to differ? Go to any with a well moded civic and race them in your precious rx8

Sure i have an 8 as well , but i dont go around saying oh its just a civic its rice blah blah,

POINT IS civics , have potential

Wow, who are you getting so defensive with, me?

Any car can have potential. The Civic is just a very popular platform with huge aftermarket support. Very much the poster child for the import market. It's affordable and easily accessible.

Red devil, that was a general statement, it was not tords you.

But yes , i agree It is very popular, HUGE aftermarket support and yeah its affordable.

but i dis-agree with the fact that Any car Can have the potential, look at our cars N/A we has nothing, No power potential at all.

im not bashing or etc. it's just kinda sad to see ppl awlways looking down on civics, but the fact is that the majority of them are riced out , or whatever the matter may be.

what im saying is that people dont give them enough credit though. Iv seen plenty of hatchs, integras , SI's keep up with V8's and in some cases Beat them.

Basicly what im trying to say is, give them a break.

Cool...I'll give any Civic, or anything a break for that matter that's been done well. I won't give any break to the guys with fake intercoolers and blow-off-valves.
