Threads merged. We don't need people posting the exact same thing twice in different threads at the exact same time.

say you have set to open at 4lbs of boost or something. While the turbo is spooling up to that point, your exhaust will be closed and can probably cause more turbo lag than a free flowing exhaust sytem would. At that point it opens you'll get a huge surge.

Tuning for that can probably be pretty annoying.
The problem with not doing it that way is that the electric motors (at least on the Qtec) are WAY too slow to set up to open electrically based on rpm.

if u anyone used this direct exhaust cutout in malaysia, they might set fire on the petrol station. cause there are a lot of diesel car here, and normally there are a lot of fuel left on the floor waiting for cleanup.

I have an AT6spd rx8 with an automatic exhuast cutout. I have it right before the CAT. It's loud to the people around you with their windows down. Inside the car though, it sounds like a regular exhaust.

Can you feel the difference? I put it against a rsx S and is250. I ran them with closed stock system and open exhaust. The difference was huge for me. I was neck to neck with them on stock form. But when i opened the cutout at 80mph, I started pulling on them easily.

remember, this is an AT6spd rx8 that everyone is complaining about. I'll try to line it up against a MT and post vid.

I hope this helps.
