Turbo and Spark Plugs???

Turbo and Spark Plugs???

alright so im getting a SFR Turbo kit for my rx8 and i already have the interceptor-x EMS. I know that to be safe with the turbo I want to use colder spark plugs cuz my buddy said the stock ones on his were way to hot. What spark plugs would you guys recommend

I don't know what your friend was talking about but stock plugs should be fine if you're running a safe boost. Our stock plugs are pretty cold compared to pretty much almost everything else out there.

Also, good luck finding colder plugs for the Renesis out there... it's nearly impossible!

HKS has colder plugs, but almost double the price of stock plugs.

There are basically 2 sets of colder plugs that you could use. The first being the RX7 plugs from Mazsport (www.mazsport.net) and the second being the HKS plugs which are even colder then the RX7 plugs. I have a set of each and you can find more information on them by doing a search.

to go FI on a high comp motor, one must think about the reason HKS makes a very cold plug for the 8.

take the advice these good people have gave u... and like said, no shims needed if a proper plug for the app is used.

so its obvious to get the HKS cold plugs... if its made for the 8.

i'll only leave it to that...

spend the extra money buy Denso put them in a forget about plugs for a long time
