Well go buy a Supra then... Last time I checked nobody put a gun to our heads, for those of us that own 8's. Why come in here and make stupid comments.

So what you are saying is that if a 238ish hp car can't hang with a 625 hp car, it isn't worth it? It will most likely already hang with the Supra in the corners. They aren't known for their abilities their. A Supra is a dyno and freeway king. A 425 hp rotary will keep up with a 625 hp Supra and the Supra still isn't that quick off the line. Just remember hp to weight ratios. Supra is a heavy car in comparison to an RX-7 or RX-8.

Here's an old joke for those of you that know something about Supras and drag racing.

What's the difference between a 500 hp, 750 hp, and 1000 hp Supra? Nothing! They all run 11's!

Don't think I am bashing on the Supra. I love that car. I'm just picking on it a little out of fun. The engine is damn near indestructible. Your whole logic for buying an RX-8 is severely misplaced. I'm not going to go out and buy a Geo Metro on the grounds that it has the potential to keep up with an F-16 in acceleration.

i drove an rx8 and i fell in love with it.. it was winning blue...i just want to be able to turbo it and at least get 400+ with the right modifications.. obviously i have enough money to do it. i just want to make sure this car is capable of it before i go drop 3?,000 dollars on a car that won't be able to make over 300?

20B is the fabled 3 rotor capable of well over 450 hp. At a price of handling perhaps.. but still a light motor if you ask me.

Check out rotary extreme's exhaust. Theirs looks more like what you're looking for. Canisters in a V configuration.. less like the conventional layout you've been seeing.

There are A LOT of turbo's in development but nothing has been officially released yet. If you want that much power as soon as possible your probably better of looking at a different car.

Check out the Viper if you have money to blow I would think a Viper would easily hang if not mop the floor with your friends Supra. Insurance will match your car payment at age 19 I bet

When you Mature a little you'll realize that exhast is crap! Read RotaryGod's post on exhaust which is stickied on this section of the forum. Its just loud and restrictive meaning less power than even stock!

actually i like the RB exhaust and the Greddy but i was just wondering if this is going to be the only style...

as far as the viper goes i don't really care for them..

and i would much rather get an rx8 and then wait for a turbo kit and buy it than get some car (s2000) which i don't really like to much. I would prefer to have the rx8.

Why not an Acura NSX. It is borderline exotic, and it can be an everyday driver.
