For those with lightweight flywheels - how is the idle quality
I did a search through the various flywheel threads, and I really didn't see any one talk about vibration issues or idle roughness as it relates to a light weight flywheel. For those of you with light weight flywheels, did you notice any increase in idle roughness or vibration in the cabin? I especially want to here from the racing beat and Mazdaspeed folks.

Fine once you get used to it . When I really notice it is when I get distracted at the lights then realise cars behind me are waiting . To take off quickly without thinking about it can be a mission & I end up giving it lots of revs which is not smooth driving at all .
If you are taking your time you can take off just as smoothly as stock from less than 2000 rpm.

I know how it is how to drive with a lighter flywheel 'cause I have an 8.2 lb chromoly flywheel on my other car that i use for drifting and autocross, i just don't know how it would be on a rotary since a totaly different platform. but so far according you your feedbacks, it sounds like it's no different from a lightweight flywheel on a hi rev piston engine.

i have an 8.4lb flywheel and i was very suprised when it idled smooth as glass, it took me about a week or so to get used to driving around with it, i have a wierd driveway and backing out at low rpms took some getting used to, but all in all i love it, totally worth the money

Please understand that Brillo is so **** about how smooth the car idles that if a fly landed on a pulley while it was idling, he'd feel it and get mad! I'm not kidding!
