the ultra is somewhat loud, but with the silencer i think it should be under 95db. ive been debating whether to get the Ultra or a Racing beat for a while now..

ive owned some tanabe products on my FC (RIP) in the past and love the quality of it. Not sure exactly what im going to do with my new FE, so im going to be doing some crazy research in the following weeks.

anyone dig up that clip of the ultra?

ok just put on my hyper medallion. my first impression... kinda quiet. i was expecting a bit more rumble. at idle it sounds almost stock to me. in the car i dont even notice it. when you blip the throttle. initially you get a low tone rev but not much more. on the freeway cruising i cant tell the difference. the road noise is louder than the exhaust. windows up and stereo on... almost stock. overall its nice. but now it has me thinking if i should change the cat midpipe.
i dont know if im so use to my rx7's 3" pipe just being obnoxiouslly loud that the tanabe is just to mild.

Yes, they are.

I would buy the Ultra right now if it wasnt 2.5" piping

Im pretty sure im going to go RE-Amemiya, it has the sound im looking for, and at least its 70mm (2.75)

thats good though, in the past month or so, my friends and i have accumulated 6 fix it tickets...between the 6 of us. not even at WOT.. my friend was driving his STi at 2500rpm with a Greddy EVO exhaust..is supposed to be quiet mind you... and got busted for being too loud...

im actually considering the Touring instead because of the updated material, newer style, and free flowing style..AND the sub 93db operating volume.
