depends on your definition of "better".

with all choices you listed above, both seem to have an adjustable feature. so which one is thicker and stronger? which is more cost effective? name reputation?
material used? etc...

sway bars are sway bars. if one has something better over the other, and seriously, when looking into sway bars size does matter correct? so look for one that suits that criteria better, being they are all have adjustable feature.

that being said, i'm in the future market for progress tech sways.

and as for drifting... a stiffer rear sway would be the way to go, all other set-up aside.

^and cost, it's one thing to buy an overpriced japanese part when you can't get it anywhere else, but the people who buy them in lieu of a more reasonable equivalent thinking it's somehow better with the blingy name/colors/etc. ... well, you figure it out

....and since I will soon have about 12-15 sets of the ProTech bars in stock and sell them for $265/pr., shipped..........;)

These will be used for a daily driver. I want a set up that isn't too harsh, byt eliminates body roll.

i have a 2004 rx8 that i bought used. it came with tokico dspec coilovers, (idk if i like them much), my car had the stock sway bars on it that just didnt cut it. i did a lot of research and digging and found some really really stiff sway bars...hotchkis racing sway bars, 33mm front and 21mm rear. I have them on the middle setting, the lowest setting is pretty firm in itself, i recommend those for strict street driving especially if the roads u drive on arent the nicest ones around. the middle setting is what i use the most, i autocross a lot and find that the best, the stiffest setting i tried only once and it was a stiff ride and i got scared around a corner so i put them back to the middle setting (setting 2). the only issue i have with those sway bars is that the poly urethane bushings rattle a lot over bumps that u tend to think ur shocks suck. but i deffinetly recommend these, and middle setting only, trust me on that.

to rx8 fanatic, with my hotchkis sways, i have no roll what so ever, and i mean none. i can take corners twice as fast as my normal stock sways, no tire squeel, and my rear end has not swung out unless i clutchkick or pull the ebrake, it handles like a dream. no bs i used to take a 30mph corner at 60-65mph depending on how gutsy i feel or how soon i wana get home from work....i out handle 350z's and this one rich guy at the end of my street has a honda s2k club racer and i out handle him on street roads. those are my only competition other than evos and sti's here in CT (well where i live anyway), not to mention the mustangs, camaros, and american muscle cars that just go fast in straight lines.

I have these and they honestly are worth every penny. Best suspension mod you can do for the money. I have virtually no roll with these on the stock sport suspension and R comps.

I plan on using my 8 for my everyday car, but occasionally I will hopefully enter it in some track days or in a autocross. Would you say that there is a point in me putting in sway bars? Is it a noticeable improvement on the back roads. Or can you just notice it when your on the track?

noticable everywhere. if you're gonna track the car make sure they are adjustable too, for just the street even non-adjustable ones should be fine

Hi rx8 peeps.

I'm looking for front sways that have longer ends.
My steering rack is now about 5" forward thanks to a 20b conversion. I have turned the end link bolts to the opposite side of the lower arm and with adjustable end links they will still reach, tho I'm not sure how effective they'll be.
I've seen the adjustable sways but there seems to be no information on length or reach. Are they only adjustable to shorter tolerances?

Any ever compared the stocks with aftermarket side by side?
