supercharger turbocharger
I say go for the greddy!!!
You can alwayz upgrade the compressor and 60whp is a pretty descent gain to start. Throw in a mid pipe, straight through exhaust and tune. Should add another 25+whp.
300whp in a 3000lb car should be good for high 12z 1/4 mile
Superchargers are good too but they take power to make power. plus adds more strain to the powertrain.

Remember the Greddy has given consistent 60-70 whp gains on a 170-180 whp car that is 1/3 more hp+. Also it is a great value at $2900. The SSR turbo kit, if the 280-290 whp figure is to be believed is a 100-110 whp gain. For more money though. Not sure how much more you should expect . especially on a car that dynos at around 170-180 whp stock. It might be different if it was a big V8 with large displacement. For $2900 who can complain.

The biggest thing to consider is your driving style. In spite of all the arguments that tend to come from likes and dislikes I am a firm believer that throttle response is superior in a supercharged car vs a turbocharged car.
If you are looking for the highest horsepower boost go to a turbo. If you love the fast throttle response when coming out of corners etc then I am sure that you would be happier waiting for a supercharger.
In short a supercharger will feel more like dropping in a more powerful engine.

Well you have to look at it like this the greddy turbo has been out and it is cheaper and myself and all the other people on this board have not had many serouse problems at all with the kit just minor little bugs that is expected with the kit ...

I agree with "West Coast Fun " that aSC is more like dropping in a more powerful engine.
eh I DONT like the higher price tag of teh SC though.
i havent heard of the SSR...is their product for sale right now? has any consumer ACTUALLY got 100-100whp out of it? how much more is it than the greddy? what PSI does it operate under? where is SSR based out of/what's thier site?
any answer/partial answer would be appreciated :D
