supercharge/turbo rx8?????? comments pls
the bottom line is that an SC engine and supporting systems operate at the stress load of a much higher power output than an equivalent turbo engine with the same actual power output, on a Renesis engine this is not a good thing unless you are willing to live with a lower power level than what a turbo engine can provide safely
Any turbo really needs a bit of porting work for any hope of reliability, due to the extreme back pressure between the exhaust port and the turbo.

Or you assumed?

Mismatched combinations doesn´t count. And without comparison on same power level - which on its own will need to be higher in SC engine to drive SC, you are just repeating same BS, same applies to "usable" power of SC engine vs. "laggy" turbo
Oh, "theory" from people producing supercharger kit

Its one example of how not to do it. But everyone takes it as gospel against turbocharging Renesis. Surely, turbine restricts flow, but not every turbine and housing combo is same... What cracks me up is that some supercharger guys are acting like their exhaust system doesn´t have any restriction, but every turbocharger surely has "extreme backpressure"

I just hate when someone claims something, which isn´t true and even doesn´t know what´s happening... but that´s interwebz
Thx guys for all ur replies... Some good info and arguments... Made me understand more things, yet more confused on what i shud get. Is there anyone in here that actually have/had a sc or turbo rx8?? Thx!!!!
Ummmm basically it's a personally choice.
Make one and go for it.
There is no clear cut winner ...... but many will tell there is.
<I have turbo>
And yes there are many members with both.
Go to the Performance section have a look around
