Exclamation Sprintbooster

I was reading an article on the Dutch and the French RX8 boards about a device called the "sprintbooster"...

Anybody heared of it ?

Looks interesting...

According to Fabrice from www.enginespd.com

The Sprint Booster modifies the progression of the throttle boby, and makes it more aggressive.
The progression of the throttle body is defined as the ratio between delta TPS (throttle position sensor output) and delta PPS (pedal position sensor output). An aggressive progression will give a large change in TPS for a small change in pedal position.
Technically, it modifies the Pedal Position Sensor voltage output fed to teh PCM. As far as the PCM is concerned, it's transparent. It won't trigger any fault codes if correctly fitted.

On the road, it gives you a higher load for any gas pedal input, improving what we call the performance feel. It does not modifies the full load performance (torque and power), but gives you the feeling of a more powerful engine, with more low end torque and greater responsiveness.

a tuner here in greece makes it... I never tried it but my car has something similar and its fun... once you get used to it. feather touching the pedal, the car reacts. some may find it irritating tough especially in traffic and over bumpy roads...
