I know I could probably just search for this and come up with results, but i'm strapped for time and I gotta leave for work here in a sec, so I don't have time to skim through search results, but I was just wondering if a single exit exhaust (canister style) exists, asides from the HKS Hi-Power and the Racing Beat race exhaust? I remember back when I had my RX-7 and I had a subscription to the RX-7 mag......and this is when RX-8's had just come out......I saw an add in there for a single exit cat-back. Single canister, looks like the rear bumper might have had to been modified to accomodate it......and it wasn't a custom system. It was on a blue RX-8 for reference. I've searched on Google for it a few times over the years, but could never find it. Anyone?

Yeah, that Buddy Club is pretty nice, but the lack of any real pics/sound clips steers me away from it. I'll likely just wind up hopping on the HKS Hi-Power bandwagon. Its cheaper, i've heard it, and i've seen it installed.......plus HKS is quality stuff.

I just WISH I could find the exhaust I originally asked about. No one seems to know what it is/was.

Its in an older issue of RX-7 Mag. The issue had a red FC on the front......it was an issue from '05...sometime in the summer months.....(I know this b/c it came with my Racing Beat header/Bonez cat/Apex-i GT Spec cat-back for my FC at the time....and I ordered all of that stuff in summer '05), and the exhaust i'm taking about was in the "new products" section, pictured on a blue RX-8.

 

is it the JIC exhaust? theres a picture around here somewhere with a sweet rx8 with that exhaust on I THINK not sure

Pretty damn similar, but it wasn't the JIC. It was full stainless, not titanium. And it wasn't by a "big name" manufacturer.

Yeah that JIC car has a custom exhaust with a modified rear bumper, you would have to cut your rear bumper in order for it to work

 

Yeah, I decided to just go with the HKS Hi-Power + the HKS mid-pipe & a Titek header. I love the way DeeDub's car sounds on Youtube w/ the Hi-Power. Plus, the price is right for that exhaust (sub $500).

 

RMagic also makes a single, but I don't think anyone on the forum has one.

 

I had one made with a magnaflow can.

Cost me $140 + $60 to get flanges put on my stock exhaust so I can interchange without having to take my bumper off.
