Don't worry, bse is being a jerk. I'll help! Sarcasm!

Go to the top of the page, hit Search.
Type in "Adding horsepower"
Enjoy the search.

Short story - not much you're going to do to get more power. This isn't some cheap car that came heavily detuned from the factory. Mazda knew how to get a lot of power from the 13B and kept it emissions safe (at the time)

Don't worry about performance modifications for your RX8.

Simply drive, and enjoy!

Single of dual exhaust is just personal preference, I think cars look stupid with 1 pipe coming out the back when theres an empty spot for another. If you want the cheapest and easiest thing to do for more hp get a midpipe.

Yeah it looks ridiculous, why would anyone want just one ugly pipe sticking out

About time you agree with something I said. You must have missed the "personal preference" line in my post.

my opinion on the exhaust, put dual exhaust. It's got two holes in the back of the bumper for a reason

RX8Club.com Forum Rules
6. Be respectful. This is harder to define, but will be moderated. An example would be disrespecting RX-8 owners who chose an automatic transmission over a manual, and "sneering" at them or acting like they're idiots for the choice they made. If a moderator believes you are being purposefully disrespectful to a fellow member, you will be notified. Bashing for the sake of bashing will not be tolerated.
10. Attacks on new forum members (or "Noobies") will not be tolerated. Remember we were all new to the forum once.

look at what the vendors have for sale, every exhaust has a description on the page, using the search leads to personal preferences, opinions, and more people telling noobs to search!!

No, it's a propane torch coming out of the rotor... just like the Batmobile!

In all seriousness, the only advantage to one exhaust tip over two is weight savings, but its going to be negligable unless you commit yourself to cutting weight. If you bought an automatic, you're probably attached to creature comforts. I would suggest you enjoy your car or focus on something you CAN improve, such as handling, braking, or looks.

just do a straight pipe with a Y pipe and dual tips, no muffler, no cat, no resonator. Problem solved.
