Here we go again, do you actually helped this website with your 7,000 posts or just **** off everyone.
I'm trying to obtain solid answers with people that know the threads are to help RX8 owners have choices based on a scale of many bolt parts for that way they'll know what quality they are buying. Mostly everyone says I'm gonna upgrade my car but we all know it takes money and experience to get satisfied.
If you feel your faster then bless your soul and if your smarter then bless you mind.

as far as I know, the RB headers are not actually out yet.
Re-Anime (sp?) had some out, no longer available.

Racing Beat Header
I am aware they aren't out yet to the public, but I will get you the website in which developers are testing it , I really haven't seen any test results for the OBX header, will like to see one though and compare to the RB version.

A quick answer to your question is simply due to no port overlap little to no power can be obtained through changing headers.
The only person who has proven otherwise is Hymee.
Others (CRH, Racingbeat, and RG) have offered theories but no products as of yet.
Theres a few threads regarding the headers you can actually buy. All of them state it is a waste of money with little or no gain.
P.S. The search function on this site is beyond horrible.
The only person who has proven otherwise is Hymee.

Thanks for the support, it's hard to get people understand that some search options won't really give you at least 50% of the right answer, almost everyone here says read, and search, honestly I've searched and read and like said before there are important smart threads, but too many chit chat talk without conclusions and answers, very hard to audit a website with over 100 opinions on what is best for our cars. Everyone has a reason, style and a comfort to their modification and one things in common - Who's Faster and Better'

no offense
We all wish that the RX8 has an upgrade manual in which you can just choose and compare with what you're getting before buying. Everyone wants to be fast and better, almost 80% of people in this forum starting with me are not perfect rotary mecanics, we just want to learn more about our cars ,not get ignored with childess answers like -SEARCH-
If you know where the answer is to the search then post it, it will help, if you don't know where, than simply don't post anoying incomplete answers like -SEARCH-
Again, no attitude nor disrespect to anybody, I think I've spoken for many of us neewbys as you identify us without including yourself because you think you know it all and as many, you as well search to improve your cars performance and specification. Thru this website.

I'll sum up everything you could possibly read on this forum in regards to power.
Aftermarket parts will add little to no horsepower. If it does add horsepower its probably robbing it from somewhere else so your average power stays about the same. All opinions on "performance" parts will be subjective.
The only thing that will add a noticable amount of power would be a turbo, supercharger, or Nitrious Oxide.

I have dyno tested my car with and without upgrades and raced against other cars while in stock form and with after market parts.
Can a stock RX-8 be door to door with a 5 speed 2008 mustang gt? With your comment my car must be just like stock, or maybe have 2 more hp than stock, so a stock RX-8 6 speed must run 13.8's in the 1/4 mile. Of course a bigger jump in power would be a Turbo or SC, but this car comes from the factory flawed, and many things can open up power that is bottled up inside the 6 port motor.
First off, it comes tuned very badley to help with emissions, a proper tune alone opens up 12-15 rwhp. My exhaust and K&N filter dyno'd an additional 17.8 rwhp, just those 3 things alone can show 30+ rwhp, which in a 3000 lb car is like what 50 hp is to a Mustang.

Thats a dumb *** answer that must be from someone that has not tested out any performance upgrades... Why would you even say this kind of stuff when you have 0 clue.

If you have a different catalytic converter (or none at all) that probably made the most impact. Other than that a drop in filter will not make 12 horsepower. I'm not sure how much extra power MM is getting out of the accessport, but the latest flash seems to give a very slight boost in power.

No header makes more than 4-5 more hp. That's just the way it goes. There are other ideas that haven't been tried yet but to this point, they just don't do much.
You can get gains in power. The easiest way to do it is through better tuning. A lighter flywheel will help get more of your currently available power to the ground. Obviously forced induction also gains power. Removing the car will yield more power gain than a header will as it's good for somewhere around 7-8 or so. Just as an FYI to those out there, even Speedsource races Renesis engines with stock airboxes and paper air filter elements and no it has nothing to do with the rules.
It's hard to rate headers based solely on performance as none of them have an advantage over any of the other ones in this area.
