I have the Race Roots single tip exhaust mounted up on my car yesterday.
My current setup before was the Greddy Sp2 with Agency power midpipe.

Quality of design i give a 8 out of 10
- Reason, Couple little design flaws, but nothing serious at all. In fact i think there was really only one, the adjustable tip didn't line up 100% with the mounted holes, so you could force thread the bolt in (no damage) or you can cut a little more of the slot open. As i said nothing major and is easily fixed. Last was the bolts that came with, but with different style mid pipes I don't think you could supply the right bolts for everything. So Had to run and grab 2 new bolts for the store to mount the pipe to the agency power mid pipe. Again not a big deal.
- Other then that it mounted right up quick and simple

Quality of visual I give 10 out of 10.
- Reason, The product looks amazing! every weld and hanger and bend looks so perfect!! and its shiny!!
- Looks really good when you look under the rear bumper and see the design itself.

Quality of sound, Hard to judge being everyone is different.
- There is no tin rasp that exhaust can give you, It has the same sound all the way through, just gets louder and LOUDER.
- It does not drone out on the highway, i cruised at 70-80mph and was able to keep my radio lowest level 3 and still can hear the tunes no problem.
- In town with stop and go traffic, 1st gear can be quite loud, especially when it echos off the car next to you.
- I REALLY do like the sound of the exhaust, its just loud.
- Stopped at a buddy's house so he can hear it, Neighbors came out and said they love the sound!! It sound so "mean", "aggressive", "definitely fits the car".

All in all, i think its a great product at a fair price. I supposedly have one of the loudest mid pipes they make for the car. I bet you match this exhaust up with another you will have an amazingly awesome tone/sound.

Yeah that sounds pretty loud and nasty. I hope it's just the video and it sounds better in person.

I agree...lol The video doesn't really sound like what it was in person IMHO.

We installed it, took it for a ride.

I was surprised it wasn't louder from my first impressions. I was expecting some raspiness, but there was none so that was a plus.

Overall those looking for the single exit exhaust will be happy.

The best way to explain would be once he got on it, it had a purrr to it, but louder.

well just got back in from the town car gathering. Everyone that was there heard my exhaust because i had to do a couple ricer fly byes!! I honestly did not have one person say they did not like it. I am being truly honest.

However they all DID say it is really loud, but its loud in a mean and aggressive way.

After running the exhaust hard it has some what broken in and the tone is starting to mellow out. I am really beginning to like this exhaust with my agency power mid pipe.

Oh an by the way, i really think by the BUTT DYNO, it has more snap, and more get up and go then my dual exhaust. My 3rd gear pull feels really good all the way through were before it felt like it was sluggish before it started to getting the revs up.

Dont be surprised. This is what it does, gives u a bit more oomph and power by just having a single exhaust!!!

Fortunately, i have this same setup since 08' and i know exactly how the feeling is. Important thing to note is the material used inside the exhaust. If it is bad, this thing wont last long. If it is good, then it will ensure the sound note to last longer, as advised by bro ericmeyer, this car is all about heat, heat, heat!

Sounds awful if you ask me, but if we all liked the same exhaust note there wouldn't be an exhaust market.

Most people aren't willing to sacrifice their other exhaust tip unless the sound is really worth it. HKS made people want to sacrifice that tip with their exhaust and I'm looking forward to hearing this one paired up with different midpipes; I'm sure there's at least one combo that will sound great

excited to see more videos pop up

Prob sounds amazing with a dual res midpipe. Too bad i hate single exit exhausts, but it looks like a great product.

Yeah I have plans for a Mazdaspeed version Rear lip conversion to a single exit so that the passenger side shroud is deleted.

any plans on putting up decent sound clips on your site that gives a good indication on how it sounds? the sound clip that was posted on here makes the exhaust sound really bad !

Problem is no matter how good the video, it will still sound slightly different in real life.

Indeed having heard over 30 different types of exhaust combos in real life they never sound the same on youtube.

Only audio engineers would understand the sampling rate of most camera mics that are available to "consumers" even the "pro consumers" are still questionable to get what an item might really sound like.
