no, he's talking about Alexi's "Rev Speed Meter" which is basically a ultra spiffy Tach. Its got a Run Timer, an accelleration calculator, 'G-Force' dyno... etc.. basically a bunch of wasted crap for people who want to drive too fast for the street... on the street... instead of on a track...

In answer to your question though, i can't think of any reason why it shouldn't work on the RX-8...

what the hell for, waste of money, its all bull$hit, if ure too dumb to read ur rpm off the perfectly adequate dial, then ure just like all the other confounded street racers.
