Question Removing resonator only?

Has anyone removed the stock resonator form the exhaust and left the factory muffler in place?
Wondering what the exhaust would sound like minus the resonator?

It would probably sound a tiny bit louder, but curious why you just don't swap for entire catback?

I can think of almost 600 reasons why.

A midpipe would replace the cat & resonator and it is about $200. I talked to the SR Motorsports rep. at Sevenstock, and I asked when they would have a resonator on their hi-flow cat unit, he seemed puzzled on why I would want that, and I explained to him that I had an aftermarket exhaust and without a resonator on the unit it would be way too loud for me. About a week later they offered the hi-flow cat unit with a resonator option. How's that for responsiveness. I bought it. They also offer a midpipe (removes the cat & resonator) option a s well.
